Scott Killian (Original Music and Sound Design) has served as Resident Composer for the Berkshire Theatre Festival since 1997. Other theatrical venues include Manhattan Theatre Club, The Shakespeare Theatre (Washington, D.C.), The Public Theatre/New York Shakespeare Festival, New York Theatre Workshop, The Women's Project, Shakespeare and Company, The Acting Company, Seattle Rep, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Alberta Theatre Project, George Street Playhouse, Baltimore's Center Stage, Boston's Huntington Theatre, and the GEVA Theatre. A well-known composer in the dance world, he has composed works for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Nikolais/Louis Dance, Jose Limon Dance Company, Shapiro and Smith Dance, Zvi Gotheiner, Cherlyn Lavagnino, David Dorfman, Ralph Lemon, Susan Marshall, and Bebe Miller. Music for film includes Witnessing, a documentary which premiered at the 2003 Tribeca Film Festival, Undetectable--the Changing Face of AIDS (premiered on PBS and the NOW Film Festival/NYC 2002), and Swan Lake, Minnesota, a surrealistic adaptation of the classic ballet produced by A & E and PBS. Mr. Killian has served on the faculties of NYU/Tisch Dance Department, American Dance Festival, and Princeton University Dance Department.
