Joseph Smith (Producer) is currently an Associate Producer for Ron Kastner (RJK Productions) here in New York where he has worked for the last 3 years. Recent productions as Associate Producer include Life x3 and Talking Heads. Before coming to New York, Joe worked as an Associate Producer at the Royal National Theatre in London for 10 years where he produced plays both nationally and internationally. His time at the National Theatre culminated in devising and producing the Transformation Season in 2002 - a festival of 13 world premiers that included the Oliver Award-winning Play without Words by Matthew Bourne, The Powerbook, A Prayer for Owen Meany, The Birds and numerous new play projects working with writers including Roy Williams, Simon Bent, Richard Bean, Tanika Gupta and Gary Owen. Recently he has co-developed a new play commission of the film Days of Wine and Roses by Owen McCafferty which had its premiere at the Donmar Warehouse in London in February.
